Go to the Wrong Meetings!

Too many business owners and managers ONLY attend the conferences and conventions within their own industry. They only listen to industry “experts.” That’s fine but if that’s how you get your information you are missing out on an entire world of great ideas. What’s worse is that you may be robbing yourself of finding innovations that will revolutionize your company. In this video clip, Ross Shafer describes how small innovations (that cost nothing) can generate huge profits and save enormous headaches. In fact, Ross claims that the best ideas come from UNDER-thinking the problem. Starbucks doesn’t say “Can I help you?” because they already know why you’re in their store. Instead they say, “What can we get started for you today?” which makes the customer a partner in the cup-of-coffee process. Changing the greeting changes the entire tone of the sales process.
