Pay Peanuts for Fresh Ideas

September 14, 20120 Comments

I saw a fresh idea contest any organization can do. I went to a meeting were if you wanted to submit an idea it cost you $10 bucks. Right. You paid to have your idea heard in the “fresh idea pool.” With 25 people in the room…the total pool amounted to $250. At the end of an hour, each idea had been projected on a big screen and the audience voted on their smart phones on best idea. The winner got $250.00 and the company got 25 new ideas. The President also promised that if they used any of the other ideas, the submitter would also get $250. Pretty smart way to reward people for great ideas.
